SEO CASE STUDY

Summary

TV Repair Company has been serving its customer for over 20 years and provides high quality TV repair and related services. TV Repair Company is otherwise known as 100% Customer Satisfaction Company, but the online visibility on Search Engines is not good. The Client wants to improve online presence in major search engines and gain enough leads for a selected list of target keywords and phrases.

Objective

Raising the online presence of the website TVRepairompany.ca and achieving rankings for a pre-selected number of target search terms (keywords) in all major Search Engines. The target search terms were selected according to the services provided and the potential offered in terms of search volume.

At the start of the project, of 10 keywords most of the keywords are on 5th page of search result page and the rest were not even in the top 500. The priority was to show quick progression in the percentage of terms appearing on the first page of Google.

Background

The website had presence in search engines but the web pages were not search engine optimized. As you can see in the picture below since we started organic traffic on the website is very low (only 358 people visit the website)

Pre –Campaign Analysis

We did keyword and market research to analyze competitors’ rankings on basis of keywords which we targeted and also analyzed their back-links.

The Strategy

The first phase of the SEO strategy was to ensure that all web pages were relevant to target keywords and phrases through basic Meta Optimization. A full website analysis was also done with plans devised for implementation.

Secondly, while having website & competitive analysis we come to know that we are lagging behind the content and even there is no blog on the website. So we plan to start with guest postings and on weekly basis sharing 2 informative blog posts regarding the most searched queries of the users.

Results

Every week benchmark reports are run on Google Search Engine and the number of target keywords in major search engine has increased progressively. SEO traffic to the website has also improved considerably.

Hurdles faced

  • As business operates only in certain specific locations I had to search the local web to get quality Back-links
  • Titles & Meta descriptions were not optimized.
  • So many broken links were reported.
  • Keywords are highly competitive.
  • Competitors were doing good and ranks in top search results.
  • Images of the website are not optimized.
  • Most important thing, Client is very limited with the budget and gave us only 20 Hours to work on weekly basis. So we have to deliver the results as fast we can.

First week (ON Page – Search Engine Optimization)

In the first week of the project, after that –

Website Analysis – We first analyze the website and lookout for the errors reported. Since we find so many errors like, missing H1 tags, Meta’s, Alt Attributes, Broken links and sitemap also missing. So we resolve them first and then move to next part.

Keywords Analysis: – After website analysis, another important part is the keywords analysis. We did keyword analysis by targeting the main pages of the website by filtering the main keyword on that webpage.
Keyword research will be carried out on the basis of data gathered from Google Adwords and the Competitor analysis.

Local Canada, Toronto Listings: – Since local listings helps a lot in building the presence, and also the business is missing on many local citations like Yelp, Yellow pages, merchant circle etc so we listed the website with full and exact business details in Local CANADA and CANADA Business Listing.

Niche Electronics Repair Listing: – Niche Directories submission also played an important role in building quality links and it got approved by the moderator over a period of one month and more.

Second Week

Content marketing by targeting High PR submission websites to boost organic search results.

Article/Blog Posting: – We had submitted content over high PR article submission websites. We presented one Article over 3 high PR Article Submission Sites. My linking strategy always varied to achieve quality Back links although we changed submission sites every month.

Third Week

Blog Submission & Search Engine Submission

We had targeted theme based blogs, which contained contact information and social media buttons. It helped to improve organic search results and increased traffic towards our website.

Search Engine Submission: – It sent an intimation to search engine bots to crawl our website.

Fourth Week

Local Citation Submission

We started with local listing to publicize our services to a home audience. We had targeted only Australian Listing sites to increase organic traffic.

This phase of the project is little bit longer and generally has many processes that are included in this. Few of the points that we are mentioning in this needs to be resolved at the earliest so that search engines looks favorably to the website.

Third & Fourth Month (Rankings Maintenance and Off Page Optimization)

In the 3rd & 4th Month, we started with Image Sharing & Forum Posting to promote our business services. As it is a gradual link building process we targeted niche forums & participated in relevant discussions.

We continued with SEO off page activities which helped us to keep on building quality Back links.

Conclusion

At the beginning we optimized the website from on page perspective. After accomplishing this task, we started with link building i.e. off page optimization. We built natural and high quality Backlinks which enabled the selected keywords to achieve top rankings in search engines.
During this process our main focus will be to get website validated on Code Syntax , W3C standards , Building your online presence , Submitting website to local directories and local search engines , getting website ranked on Search Engines and last but not the least is bringing the right audience to the website.
